Katie grew up in Arizona. She volunteered with the Peace Corps in Paraguay upon graduating from the University of San Diego and it was there that she fell in love with nursing. Upon returning to the US, she received a Nursing Degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Master in Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife from Emory University. She has been a nurse working in Women’s Health since 2007; and has a true passion for her work. She is also a Certified Marquette Instructor of natural family planning and loves teaching couple NFP. She has grown to love Atlanta in the almost 15 years that she has now lived there. It was there that she met her husband and now has 3 fun, energetic, young children. Katie also loves traveling, running, and reading a good book.
